Get your Rosy Glow on!

I was very excited to see that Dior had launched its first ever blush that works with you own skin to create a CUSTOM GLOW for your cheeks!

Don't panic that the colour is super pink! I was a little concerned that this shade would be too 'icy' for my skin tone but was completely bowled over when I actually tried it. Upon application, this high tech blush reveals a unique colour that develops a rosy radiance to match any skin tone. The blusher features the new Fresh Colour Reveal (TM) technology from Dior and "intuitively adjusts to the moisture of each skin to make the cheeks blush with delight"

This beautiful 'Healthy Glow Awakening Blush' really is something special. With a beautiful matte finish it looks really natural with a soft hue of spring time colour and even has an irresistible rose fragrance.

The perfect blusher for your spring time look or beautiful glow for a blushing bride!

£29.50 Petal 001

How to apply:

Use a blusher brush and simply sweep once through the product and onto the tops of your cheekbones. Once really is enough with this blush and after a few moments the technology starts to work to create your tailor-made shade. It is buildable, so for an accentuated look, apply a second sweep of the product along the top of your cheek bones for a really great pink glow!

Red Bow Boudoir

On Saturday I packed up my kit and headed over to Alison Jane Photography's amazing refurbished studio near Canterbury for the launch of an amazing new business venture called Red Bow Boudoir. An amazing chic mirror, french furniture, beautiful candelabra and abundance of backdrops filled this stunning room. The aim of the shoot was to produce some fine art promotional images for the launch of the new website - www.redbowboudoir.com (coming soon)

Having worked out a number of ideas and ways to incorporate the 'Red Bow' theme, it was great to really get creative on this shoot and work with a few different looks to get a whole range of images from seductive to playful to showcase what this all female team can offer.

The look I wanted to achieve was a bronzed / warm smokey look that was very alluring. For the skin I used a mix of foundations from Chanel and Lancome to contour and highlight the models face, providing just the right amount of coverage needed for photographic make-up. To create a bronzed look I dusted Heather's face with Estee Lauder mineral powder and Bobbi Brown matte bronzer and a sweep or two of Benefit's Dallas blush. Using a range of Bobbi Brown and MAC shadows I created a smokey yet defined eye and added some amazing 'double lashes' to achieve a glamorous full effect. After a few shots with a natural lip colour we turned up the heat and I applied a vibrant red to really set the scene. For more details on creating this look or the products used please leave a comment at the bottom of this post.

Ballet Shoot with Dover Design Photography.

On Saturday, I met with Catherine and applied her make-up for this Ballet shoot. I wanted to achieve a look that was both pretty and feminine but also dramatic and a little theatrical. After I'd completed the look, Catherine changed into her ballet attire and we headed to some fantastic industrial areas of Dover to portray 'figure and form'.

I loved being involved with this shoot with the very talented Alan and Tom Langley from Dover Design Photography, they truly caputured some outstanding examples of the beautiful art form of ballet complemented by the local industrial architecture. Catherine Heydon, the model for the shoot, was amazing and worked hard to create some stunning shapes that look effortless and beautiful on camera. All involved were taken back by Catherine's talents!

The Makeover

Here's a real RARE treat... some BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS of the models from a recent Boudoir Photoshoot with the amazing Alison Jane Photography.

As you can imagine, I don't get many ladies jumping at the chance to let me have a photo of them without make-up before a make-over to share so a huge thank you to my three amazing models - Jemma, Hannah and Heather! This is the perfect opportunity to show just how make-up does not mask a person but truly enhances natural beauty.
